Thank you cards..

Wow!!!!

I just can't believe how much can happen in the space of a week!!
My son was offered a place at a new school on Thursday so we've had a whirlwind of a time these last few days! Been to visit the new school and he wants to move to it so we are going!

Im not 100% sure of the decision but I guess time will tell.

So anyway, I needed some thank you cards for his class teacher & teaching assistants... its such short notice his last day is today!!!!

I've used a colourway of pacific point, lucky limeade, melon mambo & whisper white which is quite a bold colour way but I really like it!

I've used a pretty simple flower design for the cards and I've gone for alot of texture.

The flower is made up by layering flowers from the new blossom punch 125603 & ive used a sizzix die from the recently retired spring mini. Some flower layers I've embossed using the fab embossing folders (you could use any of the designs), & some I've left smooth.

Ive also used the wonderful top note die 113463, for the background, again embossed, this die has got to be a must for all crafters!!!

The greeting is a stamp from petite pairs 122497 (clear set) again another must have set.

Hope you like my teacher thank you cards, and I hope the teachers do too! :)

Have a great bank holiday/jubilee weekend,

Hx

Happy sunny card!

Wow this weather is lovely!!! I thought I'd share a nice sunny looking card today given the lovely weather we are having.

I've used crumb cake & pool party card & the sunny paper is from the Beyond The Garden paper pack (122342). I've also used the eyelet border punch (119853), word window punch (119857). The greeting is from For My Family stamp set which I really love! I originally saw the idea for this card online somewhere but can't remember where! Oooops!

Hope you are all enjoying the fab weather! Hx

My first card post...

Well choosing my first share with you was pretty difficult as I seem to have lots of favourites at the moment! Especially since the new Summer Mini was launched! But one stamp I've loved for quite some time now has been Baroque Motifs 113490 from the main Stampin Up catalogue, pg 74. And I seem to have a 'thing' for tone on tone colours too as you can see from the photos :)

To create this card I've used a white card blank & cut a piece of Whisper White card stock smaller than the card itself to create the crisp white border.
Then I've gone with a Rich Razzleberry colour theme & have colour tinted the Whisper White card using my ink pad & some foam ( you can do a similar effect with the sponge daubers too)
I've worked more on the edges of the card so you can see they are a deeper shade than the middle. Then using the same Ink pad I have stamped the large scroll stamp from the Baroque Motifs set to give the tone on tone effect. The tiny flowers are punched from Rich Razzleberry card stock using the Itty Bitty punches ( pg 117 of main catalogue ...these are fab! ) and finished them off with a rhinestone jewel. The greeting is from the For my family stamp set & punched out using the Word window punch.

Now I have a little confession to make regarding the ribbon... I've loved many Stampin Up products for some time but I've never ever used the Seam Binding before!! Not until my friend & Stampin Up mum showed me some in the 'flesh' . I've even used my ink pad to colour tint the Seam Binding so it all matches my colour theme & style.

Enough waffling from me now, I hope you like my card .. Happy crafting Hx
